Thread: I have 2.0 But Still Jailbroken!

Welllllll Sorta.... I used to have my Touch Jailbroken and I changed the "iPod" in the upper left corner to "Jeff" using one of the installer apps. After restoring and upgrading to 2.0, it still says "Jeff". I am a little bothered by this because if I ever need to take my iPod in to an Apple store for any reason, they will immediately know it was jailbroken. Is there any way to fix this now that I have 2.0?

sounds like an obvious but easily wrong answer, what about restoring? also i know of many people who have changed the carriers on their ipots/iphones on 2.0. im sure if u looked on google u could find something

I have restored several times with several firmwares and it still stays the same. Maybe Google will help.

I am also wondering this... I will do some google research and check back with you guys. Also wondering if this will even work on 2.0?

Edit: Just went to Caption Crunch site and it seems as this is a Mac only application, but should work for the Touch. I only have windows so I am SOL. lol

sorry it didnt work mate, il keep looking around on t'internet and try and find a fix for you

i looked around the internet but noo luck.............

the only way is to do this is restore to 1.1.4 or ur normal firmware jailbreak it and then download "make it mine" from installer or download "Customize"and change to the carrier "ipod" and then you can go back to 1.2.0

thats the only way to do this, i know this is a long process but you have no choose

yeah i think thats all u can do really...sorry mate, had a look but no luck. ive seen somwhere that u can change it in 2.0, buts its so annoyin cuz i cnt remember what site it was :O lol i shall keep lookin
