Default WiFi data transfer slow after upgrade

    Hi Guys,
    - and merry Christmas!

Does the following look familiar to any of you, and if so, what could I do to solve the problem. Is it possible to downgrade again?

After upgrading to firmware 2.2 on my Ipod Touch 8G, I experienced a very annoying problem . When watching videos on YT, the download seems to be slower than the replay, causing the picture to freeze. I am quite sure, that it is not due to a slow WiFi router, since other equipment conneted works perfectly. As I'm the "happy" owner of another iPod Touch, same model, I for the first time unpacked this one(I had 2 for my birthday)and connected to YT without upgrading to firmware rev. 2.2 first (1.1.3 was still installed). The connection to YT worked perfectly. Subsequently I now upgraded to ver. 2.2 and I now have the same problem: Substantially slower data transfer, causing the picture to freeze. When starting playback again, the replay very quickly catches up with the the downloaded data, and the picture freezes again.
A friend of mine just had a 3rd generation 16G, and when we connect to the same URL simultaneosly over the same router, he has absolutely no problems, but I still have the same situation: the data transfer is slower than the replay speed.
Looking greatly forward to any hints, that might solve this problem.
    Best regards
    Birger

    Default remove mac address filters

    Hello,

If this helps anyone, I solved my slow wifi problem by removing MAC address filters in my router settings. At some point and time I decided to add MAC address filters to my router and around the same time I upgraded my ipod touch firmware to 3.1.2. For a long time, I believed my slow wifi was due to the firmware upgrade but then I played around with my router settings and when I removed the option of filtering MAC addresses; it worked.
I also renamed my SSID (Network name) to something other than whatever it was before.

Maybe this won't solve your particular problem, but maybe will solve it for someone else?

Make sure it's not your router coz most of times it trends to be router as a culprit just restart your router do a soft reboot and you should be good to go.
