Book publishers believe that the new Apple iPad will bring up readers interest in reading. But analysts predicted that iPad will not be able to revolutionized the ebook industry in short time.

Motley Fool’s top analyst Jason thinks that Apple probably will bring tons of low hardware requirement, casual web games to iPad. It will enable people to play some high quality 3D games while reading books. Jason thinks if iPad can use its wireless feature to successfully bring browser based web games to its users, it will be the secret weapon to defeat Kindle. Yesterday, after I googled iPad, I saw a unusual picture from apple.com. according to the picture, it seems that Apple is making their first game for the iPad. There is an iPad showing the website of the game, and the other iPad is showing the game. It seems that Steve Jobs is going to open his own Game Shop.
Today, when I tried to look for the same picture again, I couldn’t find it. So weird.
I have a friend who was able to play the iPad for a few minutes during the announcement。
- the LCD is beautiful and the view angle is almost 180 degree。
- the 1GHZ CPU is blazing fast. He loaded the web game Word of Lordcraft on it. It performed beautifully.

Recently, I participated in a new browser based game’s beta test. It is the World of Lordcraft. The game is heavily influenced by World of Warcraft and Lord of the Rings with “mid-earth style” story and graphics. The game play is like a hybrid of WoW and Heroes of Might and Magic. It feels good and right. I also took some screenshot and made some icons. It is my hobby.
Apple announced iPad in January. This little thing made me go crazy. It is elegant; It supports Wi-Fi; it has good 3D acceleration. It feels like a iPod Touch, but much better. The ten hour battery alone is worth of 500 bucks, not even mention the features and apps.
Unfortunately, it won’t be available until March. All we can do is wait. But, there are things we can do while waiting. So, I made a theme for iPad. Here is a picture of what would be.
