I have iPod Touch 32 GB. Cannot download mails because my provider requires Explorer 8. How can I download Internet Explorer 8?

Who is your provider and where do you get your mail?
Otherwise you must make a http://www.gmail.com account for free, this one is working with the E-mail App on your iPod touch.

Question: when I follow your advice for "gmail"could I still use my ziggo-address?

Is it Ziggo in the Netherlands? Then you can use the mail App on your iPod touch.
Then this are the mailservers you have to write there; Uitgaand: smtp.ziggo.nl
Inkomend: pop.ziggo.nl.

Yes, according to me also gmail will be best for you. It also works for your iPhone also. You should go through it. And the another thing is that you said you have further question than you can ask surely.
