Default Do not see Apps in iTunes

Hello, I've had an iPod classic 30GB for about 3 years, and Monday decided to upgrade to an iPod Touch. I have gone to the Apps Store in iTunes and have tried to download a couple of free apps. The download process works OK, but I do not see the apps on the left side of iTunes (in the Apps section).

I tried to download again and it says that I have already downloaded this free app, but I tried again anyway.

I thought I might see it on the Applications tab when I have the iPod touch connected to iTunes, but I don't and the applications sync is checked.

However, when I am on Wifi, I can download apps on the Touch and use them just fine. I then connect the touch to iTunes and it says it is transferring... but again, do not see the Apps ANYWHERE on iTunes... except on the Touch Display which is on the right of the Applications Tab. I can move those apps around and delete them, but that's the only place I see them.

What am I doing wrong? Would like to get Apps through iTunes.

    Thanks for your help.

I have a similar problem. I see the apps in iTunes, but they don't show up on the iTouch.

Hmmm, I will have to try this for myself after work. Will chime in with my findings later.

    Default Missing apps ?

This is a strange one. If you select your Ipod (under devices) then select the applications tab, you should see every app you've ever downloaded. The ones with a tick are currently installed, & the ones unchecked have been deleted from the Ipod.
Sorry I can't be any more help.
