    Default apps not loading

i recently come back from usa where i bought my wife an ipod touch 8gb for her birthday. we manged to get it up and running (i went into a computer shop and the guy just plugged it into his netbook and got it running - only took 1 min)
after that i purchased a $25 apps voucher and my wife downloaded about 15 apps onto the touch. (we had free wifi where we was staying)

now fastforward a week and we are home in ther uk. all is well and the touch is running great until i plug into my laptop. i download itunes to my laptop and then plug in the touch, the itunes then tells me that there is a firmware update for the touch so i click ok. (now running version 3.1.3 - i didn't take note of the previous version)
i then download another couple of apps and unplug the touch.

the problem now is all the apps that we had before the firmware update are not working. the ones i downloaded after the update work fine. now i have authorised the laptop but i only did this after the update is this where i went wrong?? have i now disabled the apps somehow??? can i save them or do i need to repurchase them??

    many thanks,

    mortus

If You log in with the account you bought the apps, then You can download them again with iTunes in the App Store.
