Thread: *Review*- HoldEm

This was the first application that I purchased through the App Store. I am a big Texas Holdem player so I figured I would give it a shot. My first impression of the App is WOW. The graphics are amazing and the game itself can keep you entertained for hours. There are two modes of play: Single Player, and Multiplayer. Single Player has you starting in the Garage with $0. As you win tournaments, you earn enough money to play at higher stakes settings such as Paris, Aruba, and Dubai. In all, there are 9 settings to play at. This will keep you busy for awhile...

As for game play, it is pretty easy. If you hold the iPod vertically, you will play from a first person view with AMAZING real life graphics. Holding the iPod horizontally gives you an overhead view. To fold your cards, you just drag your cards to the middle of the table. To bet, you tap your chip pile. It takes about 5 minutes to master the controls of the game.
Overall, I give the game a 9/10. The graphics really are what make the game so great, as well as the depth of the game. If you like poker, it is a must have. and for only $5, what a deal!! Enjoy the following screen shots:

Yeah, it can be. However if you pay attention to it, sometimes the other players give hints with their expressions or what not. Just another neat feature of the game.

I just got this app thanks to this review. I had saw the app on there but wasnt sure if it was going to be worth it or not. I mean I play hold'em in many different places, why would I need it on the Ipod?

Well I now know I do need it. This has to be one of the greatest games they have made thus far. It gives a true feeling of actually playing the game in real life. The controls could not have been more genious IMO.

I give the game two thumbs up. If you like poker, then get it.
