Default Why are Apple Computers MacBook Really Complicated?

OKAY I really want a MacBook Leopard X OS (after doing a 20 page paper on Apple I am convienced). So I went to Best Buy and played with a Mac and its REALLY CONFUSING! I use my hp laptop a lot for hwk and trying to work the MacBook is hard. I mean I have all these shortcuts memorized (like ctrl F4) and theres no Right Click on Macs or Pageup/Pagedown. So Im a little disappointed but from anyone with experience, are Apples really complicated? Are there shortcuts like the PC has? (page up CTRL -ATL , Page UP , etc)? [i dunno why, but i still want a macbook w/ Leopard OS X too bad i cant RENT one]

its not taht confusing... you are just used to microsoft!

macbooks are actually a lot easier than windows, more user friendly, and more stable... your just not used to it

its like getting a new car or new toy/ or ipod or phone or something lol

    A note on the right-click.

Apple sells the MightyMouse (I think they even supply that standard with new iMacs) that you can set to have a right-click. It's slightly different than a regular mouse but I got used to it quickly. To right-click keep your right finger in place while clicking while you lift your left finger slightly.

I switched to Mac a while back and yes, it did take a little bit to get used to everything (a day or two), but now I don't ever want to go back.

Mac OS X is different from Windows, but it's not any more complicated. In fact, if you've never used a computer before, it's probably even easier to learn Mac than Windows.

If you're switching from Windows, you'll have to re-learn some things, but a lot of what you know is very similar. For instance, most of the "CTRL-whatever" shortcuts on Windows are still there on a Mac by using the Command key (the little cloverleaf thing) instead of a CTRL key.

Apple has a site that teaches you the major things you'll need to know to switch over from Windows. See the link below.

Apples are not complicated. You just don't know what you are doing. You are working on a UNIX system with a different user interface. The fact that you get no right click has nothing to do, the interface won't use them even if you had the button. Keyboard shortcuts are different for the most part, although you can remap them. There is page up and Page down on Apples, I play with them all the time.
