Default New to Me iTouch

I have a used iTouch first generation and I want to remove the name of the previous owner. The name appears in the settings window just above all of the selections. I must add that I don't have the manual or anything else that came with the iTouch.

Thanks in advance

Hi Oxxon

Welcome to this forum..... I thought that it is kind of weird that anyone would want to change their iPod names; until I realised that there are instances where pre-owned iPods were purchased or a spelling mistake happened or for whatever outrageous reasons.

You can just restore it and it says you can put a new name on it.......

Why restore if you are able to just rename it?
