To restore your iPod, all you do is plug it into your computer like you normally would using the usb cable. Then on the left side of iTunes you will see your iPod show up as a connected device. Click on that and you will see a button called "Restore". Click this and your iPod will be reverted back to factory settings, but with the current firmware installed. For example, I bought my iPod with version 1.1.1 and after I restored, it automatically gave me 1.1.2 so I could not jailbreak it again (without a lot of extra work). Once it is restored, you can click "Sync" and your iPod will be loaded will all the music and videos from your iTunes music library.

if your ipod would crash you can force restore it by connecting it to the usb cable and holding the power button and the home button until you see the connect to itunes icon
it will restore it and everthing will be back to normal

Also if you do the above theres a "super" restore (I dont understand the difference) but if you don't hold the power button as long, your iPod will turn on, but be black, and reconized by iTunes.

do a hard reset i.e hold d sleep/wake and home buttons for about 10secs then switch it on...If u find a music note and usb symbol, u either start the jailbreak or connect to itunes and click restore(to factory setttings) on d summary tab.
