When I plug in my earbuds I only get music through one side. They are generic earbuds.
If I pull the plug out just a little I do get sound in both speakers but the plug won't stay in that position.

Somebody at work told me that you need a special type of earbuds for IPhones and the Ipod Touch. I recently got a good deal on a used Ipod Touch 1st Generation.

Do I need special earbuds or do I need to replace the audio jack?

I'm thinking this is why I got a good deal on it...
