Default Do you need headphones to listen to an Ipod touch?

If not, how do you use it without headphones? I just got mine and I'm a bit confused. I know you don't need them for the Iphone, so just wondering if you don't need them for the touch. thanks

I think you do need them, unless you have the portable speakers of course. I was a little bit confused too, because I noticed that when I don't have the headphones plugged in it still makes some sound effects. It has never played music though.

Bluetooth is wireless technology. It has nothing to do with sound, except that on phones, it it used to send music files between devices. The iPod touch doesn't have built in speakers, so no music or videos or YouTube without headphones; unless you just want to watch a video without listening... But I do quite often surf the web without headphones...

So, essentially, YES. You need headphones to hear anything (except for the clicks when your typing, etc.)
