Thread: What do I have to prepare to spray pain on aluminum (iphone back)?

I was planning to spray matte black on it.

Do I have to sand it? and do I have to apply primier for the 1st coat, then the matte black for the second coat??
Anything else that Im missing?

And I also spray tint (VHT tint spray) on the brezel of the iphone, is it the same step as spraying the back?

For aluminum, and stainless you need a etching primer which is an acid I think it is carbonic acid you use but I am not sure.
