    Default Video transfer issue?

    Ok I just got a ipod touch 2nd gen. I have a folder full of videos some from my camera some from various sites on the net. The ones on my camera have been renamed so I know what they are. When I add folder or files to itunes not all of the videos get transferred. They are all in mp4 format. Some of the videos do not get transferred, and the ones that have been renamed go back to what they were before renaming? Any ideas?

    Also is it possible to make a sub folder for videos? So I can keep some of them seperate by subject nature.

    Thanks, and please be gentle I am a noob here!

    Well I don't know more about 2nd gen but as you mention your problem with it. After showing your problem it seems that you have virus problem in your system. Thats why you are suffering such problem. I assume that you should proper scan your system and than try it once. Hopefully you will be solved it.

    I don't think it is a virus. Not all mp4 files are the same, specialy the one from digital camera's.
    To make sure you can transfer them to your iPod convert them, this is a nice and free program you can use to convert videos to iPod files;
    HandBrake.

    You can not make sub folders on your iPod, but you can put them together like an album.
    Click with right in iTunes on the videos you want together and then Info, there you must give them the same album or group name, just try.

    The worst limitation of iTunes is that it transfers data only from iTunes to iPod and iPhone, but not the other way around. Follow this article about how to transfer iPhone movies/videos to computer, which can easily backup and transfer iPhone movies/videos to computer with high quality and fast speed
    Hope it can do you a favor.

    iTunes can play a wide variety of video formats. However, iPhones, iPads, and video-capable iPods play videos in specific formats. Any music video, TV show, or movie purchased from the iTunes Store is designed to play on the iPod, iPad, or iPhone and can ban be easily synced with iTunes 9 or later.

    The iPad and iPhone 4 can play High Definition (HD) content and Standard Definition (SD) content. iPods and the original iPhone, iPhone 3G, and iPhone 3GS can play Standard Definition (SD) content. To find what video formats are supported, see the Tech Specs page, click your device's product family, and then your specific model. All HD purchases from the iTunes Store also include an iPod/iPhone-compatible Standard Definition version to accompany the HD version. When syncing an HD purchase from the iTunes Store, iTunes will automatically sync the SD video to your iPhone/iPod.
