Thread: Voip on the ipod touch

here is an interesting site that claims you can have voip on your touch. Has anyone tried it out yet. you would need to build or buy a microphone from them as the touch obviously doesnt have one.

I have not, (and will not), try it. BUT, I have heard and read that it indeed does work. I think this is pretty cool. The only thing is that if I remember correctly, you can't receive calls; Only dial them.

Yea, I tried it, it works, you just need a microphone.

That's awesome! Did you do with with a mic?

Well right now I can't find any mics in my house, I'll try at Radioshack or Target, but I know some hackers have made a sexy black one that fits into the charger place, but costs $45, and I haven't seen anyone withone yet, so I'm holding back on paying, considering it could be a scam, but I doubt seeing as there's videos and pictures...=/

wow sounds cool, 2 bad i got 2.0 so cant install sipvoip lol maybe the 2nd gen ipot will have a mic built in:P a guy can live in hope cant he? haha

If you couldn't get the mic because yours in 2.0, I suggest that maybe the FW Changer will help?

but i love 2.0 lol
