Default Will the cold weather hurt my Apple Ipod?

I have a 30GB Ipod video with the hard drive that I only use when I am in the car. I will it hurt it to leave it outside in the car overnight? Right now It gets down to about 15 f degrees around here. The coldest it ever get is about -25 f degrees. Would it be a good idea to bring it in the house at night? I left it in the car all summer and the heat never seemed to bother it any but I don't know about the cold.

    Thanks for any comments
I know it will not hurt the circuitry. Its the hard drive with moving parts inside that I am worried about. Also the cold can't be good for the lcd screen.

Apple tells you the temperatures that the iPod was meant to handle:

iPod Temperate Zone. Your iPod works best from 32° to 95°F. You should store it in environments of -4° to 113°. That’s 0° to 35°C and -20° to 45° for the metrically inclined. Keeping your iPod as near room temperature as possible (22°C) is ideal. (http://www.apple.com/batteries/ipods.html)

I have personally left my iPod out in 20 degrees Fahrenheit and it definitely had a negative affect on my iPod. I left it in my car with a fully charged battery. When I got back to my car several hours later it would not turn on (I should have never tried to turn it on in the condition it was in. It literally felt like an ice cube). When it did finally turn on it would only turn on for two seconds and would then power down. Ever since then my LCD screen appears slightly dimmed. This happened after I had my iPod for about 2 years and I have had it about 3 years since then.

So, basically since iPods are not cheap I would take it (and any other expensive electronics) in the house over night to protect them from the weather and from getting stolen.

well i leave mine everywhere and ive had it in the worst of conditions but i wouldnt leave it in the car overnight. you can expose it to cold but not for half a day cause it might if not damage the bottom touch screen that it wont be as sensitive.

Not really, Temperature dosent effect circuitry [ short of slowing it down ] it might make the display sluggish for a few minuets after you turn it on. Over time it can kill the battery but if you keep it on the car charger it dosen't matter

I don't know about anyone else but from what I have seen and read. Cold temps are not that bad that as they get warm they will snap out of it and be back to normal and that it's the real hot temps that hurt it the most. I could be wrong about this but thats just what I have read.

I did however to sooth my curiosity contact apple about this and they said pretty much the same thing that I just said. That it's not the cold weather effecting it as mush as it is the hot climate. But just to be safe I always take it with me in the house or where ever I may go.
