    Default A co-workers Nano problem

A co-worker has a relatively new 8gb Ipod (not a touch). With less than 400 songs on it (nothing else-no vids or pix) he's used up over 6 gb's of memory. He's no hacker and just uses Itunes normally.
Any ideas what's wrong? I can't even think of how to word a search for the problem.
    Thanks!

Maybe he has big songs with high quality?
In iTunes You can see the size of a song or album.
Backup all songs in iTunes and how many space that is?
Then empty iTunes en synchronise the iPod so he will be empty.
Then put the songs back in iTunes and synchronise.

Depends on what kind of format he's using. I'm not sure if the Nano can play .wav files, but if he's using those, then 400 songs would easily eat up 6 GB

Try syncing it with another library (perhaps yours)

I have a nano that has almost 200 songs and it already consumes about 2 gig (but most of my songs are at highest quality that's why). Maybe your friend's songs are also at higher qualities.
Check out this super PC to Ipod utility.
