The reason for doing this would be to enable access to the iTunes store and BBC iPlayer on the iTouch, as for one reason and another, the iTouch is not synced to the laptop that I use when staying at the in-laws' house.
I have tried to create an ad hoc network and a connection via bluetooth - both were unsuccessful. The laptop runs Windows 7 by the way.
