WHICH IS A BETTER BUY
IPOD NANO RO TOUCH
AND WHY

OK IF ITS THE TOUCH...8GB,...JAILBROKEN
HOW MUCH SPACE WILL ALL THE NEW APPLICATIONS TAKE?

OR IN FEB APPLE IS RELEASING FIRMWARE FOR 3RD PARTY APPS
WILL IT TAKE LOTS OF SPACE?

SO IN THAT CASE IS IT WORTH BUYIN 16GB(1004 XTRA) OR 8GB WILL BE ENOUGH

NOT MUCH SONGS VIDEO ETC TO STORE!

If you plan on watching movies on your iPod, then don't even consider the Nano. The screen is WAYY to small and you will only strain your eyes. The Touch also has internet which is a very cool feature and is fun to use. As for third party apps, they take up hardly any space. When my touch was jailbroken, I had about 15 apps and I didn't even notice the difference when I looked at my iPod's memory in iTunes. BTW, I have the 8gb so if you don't have a ton of music or video, then 8gb is PLENTY! Hope this helped, and welcome to the forum!!

The touch beats the archos. The archos is HUGE compared to the Touch and barely fits in a pocket. Also, when the archos uses wifi, the battery only lasts 30 min! The touch can go several hours with wifi. Yes, the archos has a few more features, but you also have to pay for a lot of those features. Touch wins hands down.

Plus the touch... every1 knows about it and theres lots of stuff rwnd for it. That other 1, never heard of it. Btw.. im getting a 32gb and i was going to get 8gb but i wouldnt... jus for future proof man..

not the nano... i have an 8gb Touch and my sister just gott an 8gb Nano... sure they're the same memory, but mine is WAY cooler! via JailBreak, my iPod is the ULTIMATE entertainment device. Games (like TTR made to look like Guitar Hero III) and videos, and music, and youtube, and internet that's free where you can get it... definitely the Touch.

And as for space I have about 20+ apps : 4 games, 8 books (The Stand..HUGE book), all sorts of other Misc. stuff. 16 songs downloaded for TTR takes up the most space because its the actual song, so each is like 2-4 Mb..

but NOT counting those songs, I think Ive only used >10Mb.

10 out of 8,000 ? SOOO worth it... anything to be COOL!!

Yeah I am getting the iPod touch over the nano because of basically everything that alredy someone has said. Dont actually want an ifone... not that i cant afford it i just DONT want it... if i was goin to get it, id get the ipod first.

i had the same question and i decided to go with a 8 gb touch and i have 4 pages full of apps and still enough room 4 228 song and 1 full lenght film still with space to spare and the installer has an app that could free up disk space so you could install more called BossTool

and the nanos are just not one of my favs, will put it that way

I am using iPod touch 16 Gb and it is superb. I prefer to go with iPod touch.
I think no one is in the world who doesn't like it.
You can download thousands of app in it and have fun all the time.
iPod touch sounds the best. Go for it.
