    2. what are the risks of jailbreaking, is it harmful/dangerous to the touch in any way, should i do it, and what is point/advantages to jailbreaking

    i have an 8 gb jail broken ipod touch with 223 songs this should do u fine
    i also have 5 pages full of third party applications with enough room to add a full length movie

    it all depends on the method of jail breaking you take i have developed a solid method of down grading and jail breaking or just jail breaking the 1.1.4 which ever you chose

    if u would get the touch i would step by step explain this process 4 you
    let me no

    First off, welcome to the forum!!
    As for your questions:
    1) According to your needs, the 8gb does sound fine for you. The 8, 16, and 32 are all the same as far as features go. The only difference is the memory.

    2) Jailbreaking is completely harmless. If something does mess up, or if you ever want to un-jailbreak, it is very easy to restore back to factory settings, with no trace of the jailbreak. To get the full potential out of your Touch, jailbreaking is definitely recommended. Advantages are you get a ton of third party apps available for download. You can also customize your icons and springboard. Disadvantages are that in some cases, the Touch runs a little slower than normal. Also, some of the third party apps are known for crashing.

    I hope this helped, and welcome to the forum!!

    Yea there are a few different approaches to take. Some are easier than others but you can always restore it no matter which approach you take.
