Thread: Ipod Touch - Memory for films/songs/sets

Hi all

I am looking to purchase either an Ipod or Ipod touch. I love my music and have a 40gb mp3 player at the moment but looking for my first apple product. I have looked into both the 160gb Ipod and the 64gb ipod touch. I am looking to use it for either music at the gym and on flight entertainment (games/movies etc). I wanted to see if any of you good people could help me choose which would be right.

How big are the apps and how much memory do they use? Also how big are the files for films/tv shows and what is the viewing time/quality like on these?

Most of the music i listen to is in hour long sets (djs, bands etc) so is the skipping function ok on these?

As mentioned i am a Apple newbie so any help is greatly appreciated.

Whats up, I'm a newbie here and i too love my music and movies personally i went big. I got the 160gb classic for music. i have close to 10,000 song (mostly concerts/dj mixes- 1 concert is almost 3hrs long) and have used only about 40gb (and i still have ALOT of more music to put in). 2 weeks ago i bought the 64gb itouch just for movies. i have 16 movies right now and about 20games and 2 apps. I got the best of both worlds and i'm loving it you wont go wrong getting the 160gb classic and 64gb itouch.

forgot to mention i have almost 50gb of space left on my itouch with all the movies & apps mentioned above.... hope that helps...

My advice is to buy the iPod touch 64GB, then you will have enough space for your music, movies, photos and games!
The iPod touch is like a computer, you can do anything with it, like Internet, mail, chat, YouTube and much more
