Okay, so first of all, I had a 1.1.2 JB iPod touch with TONS of extras. I really mean lots and lots. I had spent hours customizing and adding apps to make it the coolest iPod around.
So I go to my friends house. He has an iPhone and just recently jailbroke it. I was going to show him what to download and how to do all the customizing etc. I get there, and were talking about it, and he tells me he used ZiPhone. So I'm like, "show me" and he does.
Ok. When I jailbreak (via jailbreakme.com) it erases EVERYTHING and v1.1.3 and v1.1.4 won't play DRM music.
He plugs his iPhone in and clicks jailbreak. In 2-3 minutes, its finished...AND all of his stuff is still on there. Apps and music and contacts and all. And it plays DRM music.
I'm jealous cause I only have 1.1.2 so I say, "let me try" and I do. And it erases everything. BUT I have 1.1.4 and it plays DRM music.
So, ZiPhone is great, but make sure your iPod is backed up before you do it, or everything will be gone. AND even though its called "ZiPhone" it DOES work for iPod touch.
