Default Book app v1.3.7 problem on v1.1.3-4 ipod touch/iphone solved.

If your ebooks aren't showing up on "Books" app, and you have v1.1.3 or v1.1.4, this will probably fix it.

In this case, I have version 1.3.7 of Books and v1.1.4 iPod touch. The books downloaded from "eBooks" worked fine, but "eBooks by Chris" didn't. I have done some research, and appearantly apple changed how it worked. Instead of being saved to VAR/root/media/ it was supposed to be saved AND read from VAR/mobile/media/

Supposedly, ziphone changes all of this for you, and I think it does, BUT this version of books still tries to read from VAR/root/media... Basically, ziphone makes the books save to a different place than "Books" tries to read it from. That is why some books don't show up.

    Here's how to fix it:

If you understood what I said up there ^^^ you probably know how to fix it. Using SSH or equiv. Copy the ebooks folder from VAR/mobile/media to your computer (this also acts as a backup) then paste it to the var/root/media.

I read somewhere that the owner had to be changed, but I didn't change it and it all works fantastically.

PLEASE tell me if somethng doesn't work!

    But it should =)
    hope this helps!
    -Brad

Hi I just updated my books app and now its not responding... I don't know if it is bc it can't find the books or what. There's a large books icon in the middle when I start it and a spinning wheel on the bottom left. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the app, but it didn't work. Please help!

I just got an error message for books after holding the home button, it syas recent crash detected, reset startup settings? Yes/no. I click yes but it still gives me the same wheel screen...
