Hi all, new to the forum, so be nice

Anyway, I found out the other day that my Girlfriend has a iPod Touch and has had it since November but never used it. So after much reading on the net last night about it, I went round, picked it up and tried to play with it.

Have to use iTunes which I hate. (Anyone know how to select "enable disc mode" on iTunes 7? I can't find it)

Thing I want to know, is how do I get Mail, Maps and Notepad on my Touch? i've read about Jailbreaking, but would like to avoid that. I've also read somewhere there Software Version 1.1.3 has the above programms, along with Stock and Weather.

On my touch, it has Software 1.1.4 and none of the above!

Is there an easy way to get Mail and Maps on the touch?
