Thread: Convert iTouch to iPhone

Are there any utilities or software apps that allow you to grab your existing Cell phone signal for phone or text messages while traveling? iTouch does the wireless network thing pretty well but it would be great if you could tap into your regular cell phone to use the iTouch apps when on the road - mainly looking for text messaging while on the road.

If this is possible then I would greatly prefer buying the iTouch instead of the iPhone. It will surely save
me some money and still get the experience I need from the iPhone. I'm sure Steve Jobs doesn't have
this in his mind since each unit is created differently from the other. iTouch is just mainly for music.

That would be awesome! All I do right now is use the "textPlus" from my iTouch and text through the wifi. And I can use Skype if I want to all someone but thats useless when I just have my phone. But if you could tap into your cell phone service that would be nice. I would love to have service at all times so I could browse the internet and text anywhere I am.
