Thread: Itouch doesnt have an aplications tab in tunes

Hi recently we just brought a used itouch for my lil brother (14) . I myself have an iphone so already have itunes installed with my music and my own brough apps. I now want to share these with my younger brother and vice versa. When iv come to plug in the itouch it syncs the music fine but when iv looked under the itouch device there is no applications tab at the top to sync them. Any ideas?? thanks

I am actually having the same problem. And i have no idea what to do, in order to sync the apps to my itouch.
I emailed apple about it, and haven't rec'd a response yet.

You must take a look at the software version that is on the iPod touch.
To see what version you have;
1. Tap Settings > General >About.
2. The software version number appears next to Version.
If it is an 1G or 2G iPod touch the latest version is 3.1.3

Follow these steps to update your iPod touch software to the latest version:
1. Make sure you are using iTunes 9.2.1. Download iTunes.
2. Connect your iPod touch to your computer.
3. When iTunes opens, select your iPod touch under Devices on the left side of the iTunes window and in the iPod touch Summary pane, click Update.
4. iTunes tells you if there's a newer version of the iPod touch software available.
5. Click Download and Install to obtain the latest version of software.

I have an app tab on my ipod touch. When you have the newest version, click on your ipod on the left column and you will see a bunch of tabs on the right. It is right next to the music tab.
