Thread: itunes and ipod

my home computer crashed and messed with itunes and now my computer isn't recognizing my ipod due to missing drives. so i install i tunes on my laptop. is there a way that i can upload music from my laptop with out completely erasing my previous music. HELP !!!

you can do that easily. stop syncing your ipod to itunes. then drap the songs you want to the ipod link in itunes. your job is done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I tried a few things before you try to circumvent this problem, unfortunately, even change the illustration MP3, then it would appear in a folder with the same album, but the thumbnails for singles of the same said album, iTunes disregarded this and chose as an image for each album.

i think you should copy your cd music to your computer. and then you can transfer music for itouch by itunes.but i find itunes recently is crap and so broing.
i suggest you download a free software called itransferstudio. it is PROFESSIONAL for ipod ,ipad ,itouch,iphone. i always use it for ipod music transfer, it is fast and safe when transfer music from ipod to computer.

If you still have the itunes folder under my music on your old machine you can copy it to your my music folder on the laptop. The version of itunes on the laptop must be the same as the one on your old machine. After you have copied the folder over do not connect your ipod but start itunes and if it starts ok and you can see you music from the old machine all is well and you can connect your ipod and sync it with itunes for music you can also sync the ipod with up to 5 computers for apps etc. If when you start up itunes it gives a message that your itunes folder was created under an earlier version or a later version the itunes will close. Then you must try and install a version which is the same.
