    Default Ipod touch 3rd gen syncing keeps failing and messed up songs

    Firstly, my PC started recognising my Ipod touch as a digital camera a few days ago. I tried numerous fixes found on the internet that did not help in any way. Secondly I whenever I try syncing my whole itunes music library (326 songs) it always fails between song no. 40-60 with "the device timed out" as error. I tried disconnecting all of my USB devices but that did not help either. Mostly after 4-5 tries all of my music is on it, b ut a new problem arose. All of my songs are messed up, not messed up as in: title and artist are wrong, but messed up as in: the songs are mixed (sounds of songs play before they should and a lot of distortion). I hope this description makes sense. If you need a sample just tell me and I'll post one (together with a youtube link to the original song to illustrate the problem).

    I'm not familiar with Windows7, but I didn't read your software version on your iPod touch?
    Do you have the newest version 3.1.3, maybe that can fix your problems;

    Apple - iPod touch - Get great new features with the 3.1 software.

    Go to device manager > portable devices > right click on Apple iPod and update driver from this location: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers

    Then iTunes should detect Your iPod right.

    Try a reset when connected to your pc and iTunes; hold Home and Off button pressed till You see the Apple logo on your iPod.

    I went to the Apple store today, they did it there and it still didn't solve anything. The weird thing is, when I sync using my sister's pc (which is running windows XP), she songs are fine when I put them on it.

    PS: pc camera problem is now resolved by downgrading Itunes, the other problem remains however.

    Ok, then it look like a Windows 7 problem with iTunes.

    Strange it says it is Windows 7 compatible, what did they say in the Apple Store about it?
