About LinkBacksNow i cant power off my itouch...and i have a small "U" shaped looking thing that im not sure where it goes...any help would be great.

fixed...
works as a spring for the power button...used a fine strip of electrical tape to keep it in place...closed the case ...works like a charm

What generation iPod is it, how did You open it and what battery You placed in it and where did You buy it?
